A record of the tea you drink — what is in your cabinet, how each pot went, and where the leaf came from. For iPhone.
Write to akos@tallpoppystudio.com. Include your iOS version and what you were doing when something went wrong, and you will get a reply from a person.
Where is my data kept? On your device, and only there. There is no account, no sign-in and no server holding your sessions. See the privacy policy.
Does it work without a signal? Yes. The cabinet, the timer, the maps and the whole 243-entry catalogue work offline. The single exception is identifying a tea from a photo, which needs a connection because the photo is read by Google's Gemini.
What happens when I finish a tin? It stays in your cabinet with its record intact and drops out of the grid. Turn on "Show finished tins" from the menu on the Cabinet tab to bring it back.
Why does a pot warn me about the wrong tea? Porous clay keeps a trace of everything brewed in it. If you dedicate a pot to one category, Gaiwan says so when a session would put a different one in it. Unglazed ware only — porcelain and glass add nothing and are never flagged.
