Tuuvi keeps your family's profiles on your device and in your own iCloud account. It has no account system, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. Apart from Apple's own services, the one outside service it uses is RevenueCat, which tells the app whether you have a subscription. Both are described below.

For each person you add: a name, a birth date, a skin type, whether their skin is sensitive, an emoji and colour for their avatar, the SPF they use, and when sunscreen was last applied. Tuuvi also keeps a record of each application — the time, the UV index, the SPF, the activities you chose (water, sweat, sand, towels) and the name of the city you were in.
This data is stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is switched on, Apple also keeps it in the private database of your iCloud account so it reaches your other devices. We have no access to that database and no copy of your data on any server of ours — we don't run one. Deleting the app removes the data from your device; you can remove the iCloud copy in Settings → your name → iCloud.
Tuuvi is built for parents looking after their children's skin, so profiles often describe a child. Those profiles are created by the parent, stay on the parent's device and iCloud, and are never sent to us or to anyone else. Tuuvi does not collect personal information from children, and does not let anyone contact them.
Tuuvi uses your location to fetch the UV forecast for where you are, and to show the name of your city. Your coordinates are sent to Apple Weather (WeatherKit) for the forecast and to Apple Maps to look up the city name; both are processed by Apple under its own privacy policy. Tuuvi may notice when you have moved a significant distance so the forecast stays local, but it does not record where you have been or keep a location history. You can decline the permission, but Tuuvi cannot give a forecast without it.
With your permission, Tuuvi reads your Fitzpatrick skin type from the Health app so you don't have to enter it, and can show the UV exposure an Apple Watch has recorded for you. Health data is used only to show you information and make recommendations inside the app. It is never sent to us, never used for advertising or marketing, and never shared with anyone. Health access is optional.
Reapply reminders and daily UV guidance are scheduled on your device. They are not sent through any server of ours.
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, our payments provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated on your device and the record of your App Store purchases, so the app can tell whether premium is active. That identifier is not your name, your email or your Apple Account — it is a random string, and it is not connected to your family's profiles or anything else in the app.
Apple handles the payment itself. Tuuvi never sees your card details, and no payment information reaches us.
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it, and any change that affects what leaves your device will be described in the app's release notes.
